Key Responsibilities Lead, oversee and manage a sub-team to ensure proper work coordination throughout the syndication process from pitching stage including tailoring a financing structure, crafting loan syndication strategy, writing credit proposals and information memorandum, running roadshows, managing book running process, reviewing financing documents until financial close. Establish and improve networking, internally and externally (amongst banks) and ensure responsible communication with stakeholders to enhance LMS' franchise in Malaysia and regional markets. Keep abreast with market intel, appetite, developments and internal credit appetite to develop internal and market acceptable optimal financing solutions to client, assist in internal loan portfolio management and source for market loan deals which are within the Bank's credit appetite and strategy. Work closely with other business units (for eg. Special Situation Investments team) on new loan structures/ products including to identify and establish new relationships with the relevant key market players for the purpose of future club deals or the subsequent sell down of loans. Work closely with Asset Quality Management team and Credit Risk Management team on loan portfolio management. Work closely with product partners across the region to promote and cross-sell products across the region. Responsible for collating relevant information and make submission to the relevant external parties for league table recognition. Coach and motivate subordinates with the objective of equipping them with the right skills, attitude and knowledge to carry out their jobs effectively. Formulate KPIs & action plans based on Department's goals & objectives, and provide guidance & directions to team members. Assist the Head of RLMS in management reporting (financial or otherwise). Responsible for team's resource allocation to make sure speedy and efficient completion of deals. Provide guidance on AML/KYC review pertaining to onboarding of relevant new accounts and periodic review of existing accounts. Ensure that the team is fully aware of all relevant internal policies & procedures, regulatory policies & guidelines and is fully complying therewith. Key Requirements Minimum 7 years of experience in relevant banking background in established banks or financial institutions with minimum 5 years in leadership position. Degree in Banking, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting / Finance or related discipline. Other disciplines can be considered, subject to work experience/other professional qualifications. Professional qualifications such as Chartered Banker, ACCA (or its equivalent), Banking and Financial Services Certificate ("BFSC") and Certified Credit Professional ("CCP") will be an added advantage. Possess strong skills in credit analysis, people management and strategic planning. In depth knowledge of the Malaysian loan market, market players and competitors. Knowledge of regional loan market will be an added advantage. Well-versed with rules and regulations and legal environment in the Malaysian landscape.
