Role Overview The Head of Operations - General Staffing will be responsible for overseeing, scaling, and optimizing Quess Malaysia's general staffing business. This leadership role involves driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, enhancing client delivery, and building a high-performing team to achieve business growth objectives. Key Responsibilities Operations & Delivery Lead the day-to-day operations of the General Staffing business across Malaysia. Ensure smooth deployment, onboarding, and lifecycle management of associates. Develop and implement efficient processes to ensure high service delivery standards. Monitor SLAs and KPIs, ensuring client satisfaction and contract compliance. Business Growth & Client Management Partner with business development teams to support client acquisition and retention. Build strong relationships with clients and act as an escalation point for operational issues. Identify opportunities to upsell/cross-sell staffing and workforce solutions. Team Leadership & Development Lead, coach, and mentor a team of operations managers, recruiters, and coordinators. Foster a performance-driven and customer-focused culture. Ensure adequate training and development plans are in place for the operations team. Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with Malaysian labour laws, statutory requirements, and Quess's internal policies. Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to maintain governance and risk controls. Maintain strong processes for associate welfare, grievance redressal, and workplace safety. Strategic & Financial Accountability Drive operational efficiency and cost optimization initiatives. Manage P&L accountability for the general staffing business in Malaysia. Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on operational performance and growth opportunities. Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field (MBA preferred). 10+ years of experience in staffing, workforce solutions, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and workforce regulations. Proven track record of managing large-scale staffing operations and high-volume deployments. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a growth mindset.
