Oversees IT operations in Malaysia, supporting office & manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical and leadership skills, ensuring the stability and security of IT systems while mentoring the local team. This role will also assist the IDT Director in Singapore in managing ERP, Cloud Computing, network, security, and helpdesk services across Malaysia OBUs. Technical Leadership & Operations - Oversee and manage IT infrastructure, ERP, Cloud Computing, network, security, and helpdesk operations in Malaysia. - Ensure system uptime, network reliability, and IT security compliance. - Support ERP deployment and enhancements, working closely with business and IT teams. - Monitor and maintain IT systems for performance, scalability, and security. Team Leadership & Mentoring - Lead and mentor a small team of two IT support staff, ensuring professional growth and efficiency. - Act as a technical escalation point for the team and provide hands-on troubleshooting when required. - Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the IT team. Regional Collaboration & Strategy - Work closely with the IDT Director to align IT strategies with regional business needs. - Ensure IT initiatives support operational efficiency and manufacturing digital transformation. - Collaborate with vendors and external partners to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness. - Assist in IT budgeting, procurement, and asset management for Malaysia Requirements: - Bachelor of Information Technology, or related field. - 8 to 10 years of IT experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment - Strong hands-on experience with ERP systems, cloud computing (Azure), networking, IT security, and helpdesk operations - Proven ability to manage multi-site IT operations and support regional IT strategies. - Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments. - Experience in mentoring and leading small IT teams. - Excellent communication skills to interact with local teams and regional leadership - A mentor who can improve and develop the local IT team. - Lead 1-3 IT support engineers - Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a must as you will be working closely with our counterparts in China. - Candidate to be based in our plant in either Kulai, Johor or Kota Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor Certifications (Preferred): - PMP (Project Management Professional) - for structured project management. - Microsoft Azure Cloud Certification - for cloud infrastructure expertise. - Information Security Management Certification - for IT security management.
