Job Type: Full-TimeRole Summary:The Mechanical Engineer plays a key role in planning, designing, executing, and optimizing engineering projects across regional and factory operations. This position involves leading or supporting cross-functional teams to deliver mechanical solutions that enhance process efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry and safety standards. Responsibilities include equipment installation, upgrades, technical evaluations, documentation, and close coordination with global stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Lead or support engineering projects related to equipment design, installation, testing, commissioning, upgrades, and troubleshooting.Develop and manage project costing, timelines, and contingency plans.Conduct technical and operational evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and propose viable solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, production teams, and external vendors.Use CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to create and modify technical drawings and 3D models.Perform engineering calculations to support design decisions and ensure compliance with relevant standards.Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance is conducted according to defined schedules.Monitor project progress and apply corrective actions to maintain schedule and quality.Prepare and maintain project documentation including manuals, test reports, training materials, and lessons learned.Ensure compliance with SHE (Safety, Health, Environment), MMR, and FLPM standards in all activities.Conduct research on materials and manufacturing processes to improve product performance and reduce costs.Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Provide regular updates, presentations, and reports to internal and external stakeholders.Support global and regional assignments, including international travel as required.Required Qualifications & SkillsEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Proven experience in project and equipment management, machine installation, and production line optimization.Technical Skills:Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and manufacturing processes.Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance.Ability to perform design analysis, DFMEA, BOM creation, and technical documentation.Soft Skills & Attributes:Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal English required).Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven with a “can-do” attitude.Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Comfortable working in cross-cultural and cross-functional teams.Willingness to travel for regional/international assignments.Personal Qualities & ROCKWOOL Values AlignmentAmbitious and goal-oriented.Takes ownership and demonstrates accountability.Acts with integrity in all situations.Makes efficient, resource-conscious decisions.Collaborative and respectful in team environments.Willing to challenge the status quo constructively.Down-to-earth and hands-on in problem-solving.Strong planning, organizational, and execution capabilities.Sub Specialization : Engineering;Others
