Key Duties Lead HVAC system design activities including AHU zoning, schematics development, calculations, equipment placement, ductwork sizing & routing, supply air and return grille location, material construction datasheet, and material specifications Prepare and review concept designs, design basis report and recommend suitable HVAC system in coordination with clients Oversee Basic and Detail Engineering design drawings, related specifications, equipment selection and calculations that align with the approved conceptual design Support Mechanical/HVAC Engineer and drafter in reviewing design deliverables and drawings Collaborate across disciplines (Architecture, Process and Utility, Automation, Electrical and Fire Protection) under the supervision of MEP Manager Participate in cleanroom HVAC design and conduct site visit locally or internationally Estimate engineering workload and schedules; support Project Managers Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies to identify efficient engineering solutions Produce designs and material take-offs project estimates Review vendor submittals and engineering drawings accuracy and compliance Ensure designs meet reliability, energy efficiency and life cycle goals Ensure deliverables meet the scope, quality standards and client expectations Troubleshoot existing HVAC systems and support installation and commissioning documents Support procurement activities and vendor coordination including drawing reviews Apply design codes, client standards, GMP requirements and industry guidelines Identify and resolve client design conflicts or missing information Job Requirements Minimum Bachelor&aposs Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years' related experience or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Must hold IR (Professional Engineer) qualification or higher Minimum 10 years' experience in HVAC design in cleanroom or pharmaceutical facility design Solid knowledge and exposure on HVAC systems including calculations for heat load psychrometric chart, air balancing, mass balancing line sizing and duct sizing Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCad and Naviswork Strong understanding of international standards such as ISPE, PIC/S, GMP, ISO 14644, NEBB, SMACNA, AHRI, CTI, FM, ASME, AMCA, ASHRAE and MASHRAE Able to work in independently and in team working environment, maintain a positive and professional relationships with co-workers and management and able to coach junior staff on technical aspects Excellent communication, planning & organization and stakeholder engagement skills Show more Show less
