The HR Director will lead and oversee all aspects of human resource management for a manufacturing organization in Penang. This role requires a strategic leader to drive HR initiatives, foster workforce development, and support organizational goals in the manufacturing industry.Strategic HR Leadership
  • Lead the strategic planning and implementation of organizational design that supports business strategy, improves productivity, enhances communication, and drives change management initiatives.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business goals into impactful HR strategies across multiple locations or functions.
Talent Development & Leadership Capability
  • Design and execute strategies, frameworks, and solutions for talent development in collaboration with the HR Leadership Team.
  • Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding processes; conduct talent reviews; create individual development plans; support succession planning; and enhance performance management systems.
  • Coach leaders to strengthen their leadership, management, and people development capabilities.
Leadership Advisory & Capability Building
  • Partner with business leaders to identify leadership challenges, diagnose capability gaps, and implement targeted development interventions.
  • Act as a trusted coach and advisor to the leadership team, ensuring talent strategies are future-ready.
HR Operations & Program Delivery
  • Oversee and support HR initiatives aligned withCOE, functional, regional, ormulti-site operational needs, including:
  • Staffing and workforce planning
  • Learning and professional development
  • Performance management
  • Compensation and benefits
  • Succession planning
  • Employee relations and engagement initiatives
Culture & Values Champion
  • Lead by example in demonstrating the company's Core Values and ensure the same is embedded across the team.
  • Drive succession planning, potential assessment, and career development to ensure employees are coached and developed to reach their full potential.
Shape regional people strategy-drive leadership, talent, and culture growth.An organization that value growth and change.A successful HR Director should have:
  • A degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a proven track record in a senior management role.
  • Proven leadership experience in HR roles within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Ability to design and implement HR strategies that drive business results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • A track record of success in managing large-scale HR projects and initiatives.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to address complex challenges.
