- Responsible to understand the offering and capability of the department which can then assist in business development activities.
- Lead, drive and grow both new and existing business to achieve department business goals, especially in sales target.
- Build, maintain and retain client relationship to achieve department business goals.
- Aggressively seek new business opportunity and establish optimize growth for existing businesses.
- Propose, develop and implement sales cycle plans & strategies to achieve sales, drive growth and profitability.
- Implement and practice sales management and sales forecast processes.
- Provide timely, accurate and complete competitive solution proposals for all business opportunities while maintaining profitability target.
- Conduct variant analysis between budgeted and actual sales and gross profit on a monthly basis.
- Ensure effective and clear communication within the sales team, clients and partners or vendors.
- Develop and execute business strategy and annual budget.
- Analyze and apply sales statistics to plan for business growth, new potential identification and market development.
- Provide leadership, coaching and support to other sales colleagues across the functional areas (sales, marketing, strategy).
- Provide on the job training to new sales team member.
- Execute any additional task related to business, sales and strategy as assigned by Management from time to time.
- 3 to 7 years of proven experience in Sales and Business Development. Background in Engineering and Technology Solution Selling will be an added advantage
- Established network within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Manufacturing, or Maritime industries is highly desirable.
- Strong familiarity with the Sarawak / East Malaysia market and ability to build client relationships in the region is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to coach, guide, and inspire a sales team.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to Sarawak when required for business meetings, client engagements, or market development activities.
- Ability to thrive in a diverse, multicultural business environment and collaborate effectively with different stakeholders.
