Description :You Are a Part Of:The Service Technology & Business Systems team manages the creation, development, ongoing enhancement, and analytics of all web-based support tools for both internal stakeholders and externally facing users. The team also oversees security and maintenance of online support pages and processes, creation and testing of web applications, graphic design, and editing, and working cross-functionally to support new product releases, refreshes, and critical bug fixes.Job Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage a team of experienced personnel in roles like business analytics and web development.
  • You will work in a player/coach role – leading and participating in web development, business analytics, cloud native technologies, automation, and security.
  • Innovate on existing tools or provide new solutions for problems that this team is responsible for.
  • Enhance existing tools and build new tools and platforms for managed services.
  • Manage Quantum support tools, websites and platforms.
  • Perform necessary updates to customer facing tools and web pages for release documents, firmware/software releases, new product information and ongoing support updates.
  • Review and update server security (SSL) and perform ongoing maintenance and updates as needed.
  • Analyze and solve internal and external stakeholder concerns as it relates to web-based tools.
  • Collaborate with the Service Technology & Business Systems team to develop KPIs and new tool metrics.
  • Troubleshoot/root cause business critical issues and produce solutions in a timely manner with regular updates communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor all applications and web traffic.
  • Develop, design, or update reports that manage and measure our business processes.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams to examine existing business models, data flow design, and reporting structures to create innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Measure, evaluate, and monitor system performance and implemented changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and/or Experience:
  • 12+ years of software development life cycle (SDLC) and web development experience, preferably working in a customer service department.
  • 6+ years of leadership experience managing a team of experienced personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree in, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with the following:
  • API driven design and development using REST APIs
  • Web protocols like HTTP, HTTP/2, RPC and gRPC
  • Serialization formats: XML, JSON, protobuf
  • Familiarity with backend development (PHP, Python, Java, Go/Golang)
  • Front end development (HTML, javascript, CSS)
  • Javascript frameworks (Vue.js, React)
  • SQL databases (any: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle)
  • Cloud native development, Microservices architecture
  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
  • Git (Version Control System)
  • Linux
  • Preferred experience:
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Web servers (Apache web server, Nginx, Microsoft IIS)
  • NoSQL databases (Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, MongoDB)
  • Message queues (RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka)
  • CI/CD (have experience with and a mindset towards automation)
  • Terraform, Ansible
  • DevOps and GitOps
  • Monitoring (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, Tracing)
  • Strong user experience (UX) skills and an eye for good UI design.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, infrastructure security, application security etc. including authentication and authorization.
  • Experience with and comfortable with working in an Agile development environment.
  • Strong organizational and strategic management skills including business planning and forecasting, coaching, team building, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build, maintain, and influence relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Superb written and verbal English communication skills.
