Job Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the initial setup and development of the IT department at the Malaysian site, including infrastructure planning, system deployment, and team formation. Collaborate with project teams to support the implementation of IT-related systems, such as ERP, MES, HRMS, and other business applications. Take ownership and lead local IT operations, ensuring alignment with group/global IT strategies and standards. Maintain and manage IT assets and infrastructure, including servers, networks, workstations, and communication systems, ensuring security, stability, and performance. Coordinate with vendors and external service providers for hardware/software procurement, system upgrades, and technical support. Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures, including cybersecurity, data backup, access control, and system usage. Provide technical support and training to internal users, and resolve IT issues in a timely and efficient manner. Monitor IT project progress, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful execution and system go-live readiness. Support internal audits and compliance checks, ensuring IT documentation and practices meet ISO or industry standards. Continuously evaluate and optimize IT systems and processes to support business efficiency and digital transformation goals. Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in IT infrastructure, system implementation, and support; prior experience in manufacturing is preferred. Familiar with network architecture, system integration, Windows/Linux server environments, and database management. Experience in implementing or supporting ERP/MES systems is a strong advantage. Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an additional advantage. Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of managing multiple tasks under tight timelines.
