The role is responsible for our mega distribution center warehouse in Shah Alam, Malaysia.Own Solution design, costing & pricing of assigned projects by line managerUnderstand and preempt customer needs and integrate this insight into sustainable solution designsDevelop detailed designs for the solution incorporating the scope of services, operating model, resource models, operating cost estimates, recommended selling price, estimated value for the client and draft P&L for MaerskCalculate warehouse size based on throughput and product data mainly provided as part of a customer RFQCreate warehouse process flows for key activities including receiving, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch to maximize productivityCalculate activity productivity targets to support resource and activity-based costing modelsCreate warehouse throughput simulation models using industry leading software to visualize warehouse operations, throughputs, and alternativesCreate warehouse layouts and engineering designs using AutoCAD softwareCapture core data and assumptions that are required to design, cost and price the solution for the customer This includes the process for capturing all customer insights that might be relevant for this pursuit or future upselling opportunitiesWe’re looking forAt least 3-5 years of relevant experience in Solution Design/Operations/Operations Excellence role, preferably in the contract logistics / warehousing / distribution center industryBachelor’s Degree in relevant field of studiesKnowledge and experience in using AutoCAD is advantageousSkilled warehouse solution personnel who has deep understanding of making process changes on productivity and financialsExposure to working in warehouse or logistics operations including implementationStrong ability to understand, communicate with, and effectively interact with people across cultures and countriesGood analytical, conceptual thinking and problem solving skillsGood command of English, both spoken and writtenProficient in Microsoft Excel, including MacrosMaersk is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we embrace different styles of thinking.
