About the Role We are looking for a strategic and creative Video Content Strategist / Creator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both creative ideation and project execution, especially in developing BAU (Business-As-Usual) content for client social media platforms. You will be responsible for driving the end-to-end content strategy, video creation, project management, and campaign execution across a variety of industries. Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Pitching Lead content planning for client social media platforms including BAU (Business-As-Usual) and campaign-based content. Gather and analyze client briefs (marketing strategy, challenges, competitors, KPIs, budget). Craft tailored content strategies based on platform behavior (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.). Propose strategic content direction by format and channel to meet client objectives. Set clear KPIs and plan the content journey (concept to execution) across mediums: video, image, written, audio. Incorporate funnel-based planning and content pillars that support client marketing goals. Stay up to date on digital and social trends to inform creative content ideation. Project Management (BAU Focus) Manage end-to-end execution of BAU content across client platforms. Coordinate timelines, approvals, and publishing schedules with internal and client teams. Monitor project milestones to ensure on-time delivery and high-quality output. Liaise with internal strategists, creatives, and production teams to ensure aligned deliverables. Client Servicing Act as the content point-of-contact for assigned clients, especially for ongoing social content needs. Address client feedback, revisions, and ad-hoc content requests professionally and promptly. Maintain strong communication with clients to manage expectations and approvals. Video Content Production Participate in planning and execution of video shoots across multiple industries. Operate filming equipment and contribute to art direction during shoots. Edit and enhance video content for digital use, ensuring platform-appropriate formatting. Publish content and manage quality assurance across digital channels. Quality Control & Optimization Conduct thorough quality checks before content goes live. Ensure brand consistency, content accuracy, and timely publishing. Analyze performance data regularly and make data-driven recommendations for improvement. Adjust strategies based on content performance and evolving client needs. Reporting & Insights Prepare monthly reports on content performance (e.g., engagement, reach, follower growth). Monitor competitors and collect community management data (e.g., comments, reviews). Present actionable insights and improvement plans to internal teams and clients. Collaborate in internal review meetings to align on strategic content improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia, Creative Arts, Advertising, Marketing, or related field. 3-5 years of experience in a content strategy or video creation role, ideally within a digital agency. Proven experience managing client social media content calendars and BAU deliverables. Preferred Skills Strong grasp of digital content formats and social media platform behavior. Experience planning and executing video content for social media. Hands-on editing and video production skills (camera handling, editing software, retouching). Knowledge of content funneling, content pillars, and strategic planning. Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is a plus). Client servicing experience with a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
