Job Summary As the Head of Corporate Communication & Public Relations, you will be a key leader in shaping and executing our organisation's communication and public relations strategies. You will oversee all aspects of internal and external communication, media relations, and stakeholder engagement. Your strategic leadership will drive the development and implementation of initiatives that enhance our brand reputation, promote understanding of our mission and values, and foster positive relationships with diverse stakeholders. Job Responsibilities Strategic Communication and PR Planning: Develop comprehensive communication and public relations strategies aligned with organisational goals and objectives. Identify key communication priorities, target audiences, and channels to maximise reach and impact. Continuously monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging issues to inform communication strategies and tactics. Internal Communication: Cultivate a culture of transparency, engagement, and alignment through effective internal communication channels. Develop and implement communication plans to ensure employees are informed, motivated, and connected to the organization's mission. Oversee the creation and distribution of internal newsletters, memos, and other communication materials. External Communication and Media Relations: Serve as the primary spokesperson and media liaison for the organisation, fostering positive relationships with journalists and media outlets. Develop and execute media relations strategies to secure positive coverage and manage reputational risks. Create press releases, media kits, and other materials to support external communication efforts. Public Relations Campaigns and Initiatives: Lead the development and execution of integrated public relations campaigns and initiatives to enhance brand visibility and reputation. Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to develop compelling content, messaging, and visual assets. Measure and analyse the effectiveness of PR campaigns, leveraging data and insights to optimise future efforts. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, investors, partners, and community members, to build and maintain positive relationships. Plan and execute stakeholder engagement events, forums, and communication activities to foster dialogue and collaboration. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on stakeholder engagement strategies and opportunities. Crisis Communication and Issues Management: Develop and implement crisis communication strategies and response plans to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks. Serve as a key member of the crisis management team, providing guidance and support during high-pressure situations. Conduct post-crisis evaluations and lessons learned exercises to inform future crisis preparedness efforts. Team Leadership and Development: Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and support to the corporate communication and PR team. Set clear goals and performance expectations, conduct regular evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the team. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate communication, public relations, or related roles, with a proven track record of success in strategic planning and execution. Strong understanding of media relations, crisis communication, and stakeholder engagement principles and best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with media, stakeholders, and internal teams. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex issues, anticipate challenges, and develop creative solutions. Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including social media, email marketing, and content management systems. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.
