INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION Job Designation: PR INTERN Department: PR Department Reporting to: PR Director/ Asst. So, ask yourself, if you were given the opportunity, where do you see yourself headed in the next 5 years WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING DAY TO DAY PR Administration: PR administration is the starting point to learn how PR campaigns, events and projects are run from start to finish. This may include (but not limited to): Learning how to create relevant and accurate media lists Keeping up to date with journalists information and researching media titles for specific pitches Tracking and reporting coverage from print and online publications as well as social media Learning how to clip relevant news Team Support: Everything we do at Suppagood is integrated, you'll get the chance to observe and support different roles within the PR department to experience what working in the PR company is like. This could look like (but not limited to): Attending client work in progress meetings Developing reports and taking meeting minutes Attending campaign ideation and brainstorming meetings Getting on the phone with the journalists to follow up on press releases and event invitations Printing pre-event materials and any other tasks the team may need support with OTHER DETAILS Branch: Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Department: Public Relations Position: Full Time, 3 month contract, with option to extend for a further 3 months Industry: Corporate Lifestyle / Lifestyle Clients Location: Office-based with some flexibility to work from home Education Level: College or Undergraduate Language Proficiency: English (native or fluent), additional languages a bonus. Good writing skills, excellent grammar, extensive vocabulary and would be ideal if well read Years of Experience: No experience required, however knowledge of the media industry and familiarity with Malaysia's top publications is helpful Other Requirements: Preferably Malaysians studying marketing, communications, journalism or related subject Non-discriminatory towards gender, race, age, religion, sexual preferences etc. What support will you get from us Direct experience of an agency environment Understanding of how PR works IRL, not just the theories!
