Job Scope / Position Summary This position is responsible for the establishment of actuarially adequate premium rates. Key responsibilities include conducting pricing analyses for Non-Motor Lines of Business and delivering strategic recommendations to support business objectives. In addition, the role involves performing portfolio studies and contributing to forecasting, business planning, and product development initiatives. Main Responsibility Pricing and Portfolio Study Assist with pricing exercises for Non-Motor Lines of Business Conduct regular reviews of portfolio performance and deliver actionable recommendations for improvement Assist with regulatory submissions to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and support internal reporting requirements Planning and Reporting Continuously evaluate and enhance actuarial pricing processes and procedures to optimize operational performance Ensure thorough and accurate documentation of all pricing methodologies and workflows Provide analytical input and strategic recommendations to support other departments System configuration and testing Assist with defining the testing scope, executing and verifying user acceptance test for rate implementations, and document the results Maintain and update rate tables in the system for Commercial Lines to ensure accuracy and consistency Others Collaborate with key stakeholders in the development and enhancement of insurance products Support various initiatives within the pricing team as assigned by the manager Qualification and Experience Requirement Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, IT, Economics or related field Actively pursuing a professional actuarial qualification under CAS, SOA, or IFOA 0-2 years of relevant practical insurance, actuarial reserving or pricing experience Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Words and Power Point Knowledge of statistical programming languages such as Python, SAS, and R, with a natural aptitude for data analysis Show more Show less
