Intro:Our client is a leading regulatory body dedicated to fostering fair competition and safeguarding consumer interests in Malaysia. As a vital part of our team, you will contribute to shaping policies, facilitating strategic initiatives, and enhancing stakeholder engagement to ensure a competitive and transparent market environment.Position Overview:As the Special Officer to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will play a pivotal role in providing executive support, driving policy development, and managing strategic initiatives. Your expertise in communication, research, and stakeholder engagement will be instrumental in advancing the objectives of our organization.Responsibilities:1. Executive Support:· Prepare comprehensive briefings, presentations, and reports for the CEO, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.· Review and proofread documents to ensure quality and completeness before submission.· Conduct in-depth research and analysis on competition-related issues, providing insightful summaries and recommendations to the CEO.· Represent the CEO in negotiations with external parties, demonstrating tact and diplomacy in fostering productive relationships.2. Policy Development and Analysis:· Collaborate with the CEO in formulating and reviewing competition policies, guidelines, and regulations to promote fair market practices.· Conduct rigorous analysis of competition law and policy issues, staying abreast of national and international developments.· Provide inputs for policy formulation by gathering data, conducting impact assessments, and liaising with internal stakeholders.3. Strategic Planning:· Assist in defining key performance indicators and monitoring progress towards strategic objectives.· Contribute to the identification of strategic partnerships and collaborations to enhance organizational effectiveness.· Participate in strategic planning sessions to align initiatives with the long-term goals of the organization.4. Stakeholder Engagement:· Facilitate meetings and engagements with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and cooperation.· Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry associations, and international organizations to promote dialogue on competition-related matters.· Represent the CEO in meetings and events, effectively communicating the Commission's positions and policies.5. Project Management:· Support the CEO in overseeing special projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.· Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute project deliverables efficiently, resolving any issues that may arise.6. Communications:· Draft speeches, articles, presentations, and correspondence for the CEO, aligning messaging with organizational objectives.· Conduct thorough research on event topics and audience demographics to tailor communications effectively.· Collaborate with the communications team to disseminate key messages and maintain brand consistency across various channels.7. Confidentiality and Discretion:· Uphold strict confidentiality regarding sensitive information, exercising sound judgment and discretion in handling internal discussions and legal matters.· Safeguard confidential documents and discussions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Requirements:· Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, Communication, or related field; postgraduate degree preferred.· Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a regulatory agency, government body, or legal/consulting firm specializing in competition law.· Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information effectively.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay, with proficiency in preparing speeches, media content, articles, and presentations.· Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.Attributes:· Commitment to organizational goals and objectives.· Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation, problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing abilities.· Ability to thrive under pressure with integrity, teamwork mindset, resilience, and professional demeanour.Sub Specialization : Others;Any
