
Cyber Security Administrator

- Collaborate with external security teams to regularly assess and monitor network and system traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats.
- Configure, administer, and optimise security systems, including SASE product suite (SWG, ZTNA, CASB), firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other tools to improve cyber security posture.
- Develop, improve, and enforce security policies and procedures with external security partners.
- Control user access to networks and resources using SASE, ensuring permissions are appropriately granted; perform regular identity audits for compliance.
- Execute incident response procedures in collaboration with external teams, document findings, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability scans, and coordinate external penetration tests to identify and remediate weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
- Ensure adherence to security policies, industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, APRA 234), and regulatory requirements through audits and documentation.
- Contribute to the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Stay current with cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors, leveraging threat intelligence sources.
- Communicate and collaborate with IT teams, management, and external stakeholders on security risks, trends, and improvement initiatives.
- Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in network administration and strong proficiency in security tools (SASE, SWG, CASB, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Tenable, Rapid7, Qualys).
- Experience with EDR tools (e.g., Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike).
- Exposure to CSPM solutions on MS Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Security certifications (e.g., Security+, CISSP, GCIH) are highly regarded.
