This role offers the opportunity to influence business objectives and goals through the management of IT architecture solutions, specifically focusing on enterprise data and data architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing communication with multiple stakeholders, including IT teams, third-party vendors, and senior leadership.As a Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising data delivery in line with Data Architecture requirements. You will ensure effective delivery with cost efficiency and total quality, defining action plans that align with the IT strategy. Your responsibilities will also include managing enterprise data availability, resolving issues promptly, and governing best practices for data modelling. A key part of your role will involve managing relationships with various stakeholders, including the senior leadership team, managers, vendors, business partners and Group IT.

Manage and optimise data delivery aligned to Data Architecture requirements
Ensure effective delivery with cost efficiency and total quality
Define action plans to support IT strategy through sound planning, established methods and resourcing
Manage enterprise data availability with timely resolution of issues and problems
Govern best practices for data modelling, data design standards, naming conventions and testing practices
Manage, negotiate and influence relationships with senior leadership team, managers, vendors, business partners and Group IT

The ideal candidate for this Data Architect position holds a degree in IT from an accredited institution; a Master's degree is preferred. You should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in an IT Data Management environment, including supervisory roles within the supported IT domain. Your knowledge on implementing data modelling standards will be crucial to this role. Experience in executing IT projects with a high level of expertise in system application/data and technology implementation delivery is essential. Strong communication skills are required, as you will be communicating with middle management teams, internal & external stakeholders. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be put to good use in this role. Domain proficiency in insurance business operations, including distribution channels modus operandi, is also essential.

Degree in IT from an accredited institution; Master's degree is preferred
Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Data Management environment
Experience in supervisory roles within the supported IT domain
Knowledge on implementing data modelling standards, profiling, analysis, developing data mapping, data Lineage analysis & documentation
Experience in execution of IT projects with high level of expertise in system application/data and technology implementation delivery
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with middle management team, internal & external stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
