As an Enterprise Data Architect, you will be at the forefront of our client's technology transformation. You will lead the overall design of the data architecture, platform and ecosystem. Your role will involve understanding existing enterprise data assets and creating an enterprise data model with governance standards. You will also be responsible for enabling access to this data for business intelligence purposes and advanced analytics. This role requires a strong understanding of both technical aspects of data management as well as business needs.
- Provide subject-matter expertise in data and information technology and architecture
- Collaborate with business users to determine the decisions and insights necessitated out of data
- Create holistic stakeholder engagement and communication plan to align on data strategy
- Provide direction and guidance to govern data flow, aggregation, data quality, cleansing
- Establish metrics, performance indicators, libraries and playbooks
- Create reference technical architecture to provide direction and guidance to enable implementations and conform to enterprise standards
- Align with Enterprise Architect to define and maintain the set of technology stack to build the data architecture
- Create scalable data lake solution for landing of raw data
- Consolidate, match and standardise key data elements like customer, and products
The ideal candidate for the Enterprise Data Architect position brings a wealth of experience in IT architecture solution design or a related technology role. You have strong technical knowledge in areas such as Datalake, data warehousing, and data ingestion pipelines. You can effectively translate business domain information into a relevant data model and is proficient in the Cloudera data management platform. Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment is a plus, as is understanding of RMIT and industry compliance standards for cloud implementation. Above all, the candidate has excellent communication skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Minimum of eight years' work experience in IT architecture solution design or technology related role
- Strong technical knowledge and architecture design experience on Datalake, data warehousing and data ingestion pipeline
- Ability to translate business domain information into relevant data model
- Proficiency in Cloudera data management platform
- Proficient in spoken Mandarin due to the nature of the role
- Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment is an advantage
- Understanding RMIT and industry generally accepted compliance and corresponding implementation in cloud is advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of financial, non-financial, technical and executive audiences
