About You Assist in the finance functions to ensure day-to-day operations of overall accounting and financial activities are executed effectively and efficiently. Your Day-to-Day Support end-to-end financial operations and ensure timely, accurate reporting across accounting functions. Prepare monthly closing journals including prepayments, accruals, payroll entries, and MFRS 9 adjustments for loans and receivables, including effective interest rate (EIR) amortization and expected credit loss (ECL) provisions. Perform and review bank reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure cash accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly. Conduct regular hire purchase (HP) loan reconciliations, validating schedules, interest income recognition, and GL alignment. Maintain an up-to-date AR aging report and monthly reconciliation reports for all key balances. Lead or assist in month-end closing activities, ensuring accurate issuance of financial statements and internal reports. Analyze monthly financial results for management review, identify performance variances, and assist with corrective actions. Support regional finance teams in developing and maintaining localized processes aligned to group standards. Participate in process improvement initiatives, focusing on financial efficiency, control enhancements, and automation. Supervise and mentor junior finance team members, fostering skill growth and operational accountability. Undertake ad hoc financial analysis, reporting tasks, and support cross-functional finance projects as required. Your Know-How Bachelor&aposs Degree in accounting / finance or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of related working experience. Combination of audit and commercial experience will be an added advantage. Good command in English, both oral & written. Excellent analytical skills Familiarity with advanced formulas in MS Excel Problem solving attitude. Must be a hands-on person. Short-notice or immediate starter will be an added advantage.
