Engineering Manager

• Responsible and accountable for the plant electrical instrumentation, electronics/robotics, software and downtime troubleshooting and maintenance.
• To ensure maintenance jobs are performed in the optimum amount of time, with the best quality of job at the lowest possible cost.
• Responsible to guiding the electrical team to a common goal, trust commitment by continues motivation and effective communication within other employees in the plant.
• Perform necessary conceptualization, prototyping, pilot testing and engineering designs needed to achieve proposed implementation.
• Upkeep of PLC programs and ensures hardware upgrades are deployed to minimize obsolescence.
• Responsible for plant machinery and facility repair and maintenance
• Plan and manage team member under his care for preventive and maintenance activities.
• Ensure production machinery is always in best condition and maintain high performance for production.
• Provide technical expertise and train engineering staff for better skill in handling maintenance activities.

• At least a Master/bachelor's degree in mechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics, or an equivalent Technical Degree.
• A minimum of 7 years of working experience in a Factory Automation environment with an operations centric mindset is mandatory for this role.
• Working experience in manufacturing industry will be added advantage.
• Skills in specific control disciplines such as advanced process control (APC), distributed control system (DCS). Programmable logic controllers (PLC), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA).
