Job Description The QA Assistant Manager will assist the QA Manager in ensuring the quality, safety, and regulatory compliance of all dairy products. This role involves overseeing QA/QC operations, supporting audits, maintaining documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & Compliance Assist in developing and implementing the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 22000, HACCP, FHM, and Halal requirements. Ensure compliance with all local and international food safety regulations. Conduct internal audits and support third-party and regulatory inspections (e.g. MOH, DVS, JAKIM). Maintain effective traceability systems throughout the production and supply chain. Serve as the Food Safety Team Leader and Halal Executive for the Taiping Branch. Process & Product Control Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and support HACCP system implementation. Evaluate quality of raw milk, process parameters, packaging, and finished products. Supervise microbiological and chemical testing in the QA lab. Collaborate with production to resolve non-conformities and implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions). Documentation & Reporting Maintain and update QA-related documentation (SOPs, specifications, records, etc.). Analyze QA data and prepare reports for senior management. Support product recall and withdrawal procedures. Training & Team Supervision Train and mentor QA/QC team members on quality and food safety standards. Conduct refresher training on hygiene, food safety, and GMP. Supervise QA/QC Executives and Assistants, ensuring effective lab and floor operations. Continuous Improvement Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives. Recommend and implement enhancements to QA/QC systems, equipment, and workflows. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or equivalent. Minimum 4 years' experience in food manufacturing, preferably in QA or food safety roles. Strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills. Sound knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, ISO 22000) and Halal assurance. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (verbal and written). Show more Show less
