- Responsible for preparation and monitoring of SEB Group monthly cash flow for prudent management of SEB Group funds as well as building liquidity buffer.
- Review/ensure the accuracy of the historic cash flow data, monthly cash flow forecasts, and ad-hoc cash flow analysis prepared by the team.
- Review/ensure the accuracy of SEB Group's cash management plans prepared by the team to address any forecasted shortfalls or surpluses.
- Review/ensure the accuracy of the relevant dashboards and tools prepared by the team to support short-term deposit/investment decision-making.
- Review/ensure accuracy of the deposit interest rates, or indicative returns quoted by the financial institutions and asset management companies.
- Review/ensure the accuracy of the analysis of the unit trust funds/investment performance or returns prepared by the team to support the investment decision-making.
- Diversify and optimise placement of deposits as well as research and explore any alternative investments to maximise the returns on investment of SEB Group funds and to reduce the negative carry of SEB Group.
- Prepare/review relevant documents for opening new deposit or investment accounts.
- Prepare monthly fund management reports and computation of negative carry.
- Review/ensure the accuracy of the forecasted finance income prepared by the team for the annual Original Budget (OB) and Year End Estimate (YEE) budget submission.
- Research and involve in projects leading to automation, control improvements, risk reduction, and process optimisation.
- Provide analytical support to business units in Financial Compliance Review and Financial Viability Assessment.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with relevant external parties including bankers, asset management companies, investors, solicitors, and rating agencies.
- Support Manager / Senior Manager of Liquidity with ad-hoc tasks.
- Perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the Information Security Management System (ISMS) roles and responsibilities procedure.
- Perform all tasks in line with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
- Perform all tasks in line with the Procurement Policies and Procedures (PPP) and Manual of Authority (MOA).
- Improve competencies for adapting to a rapidly changing business environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Banking/Commerce or equivalent.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant working experience in Finance, in particular Corporate Finance & Treasury matters, and experience in treasury cash management/capital market funding exercise / corporate advisory work would be an advantage.
- Relevant certifications in MICPA/ACCA/MIA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent may also be beneficial.
- Sound understanding and knowledge of power utility business, business planning and strategy development, and commercial awareness.
- In-depth professional knowledge in finance and cash flow forecasting.
- Good knowledge of a wide range of treasury products and related operations.
- Experience in a financial analysis role, debt capital market, and fundraising exercises.
- Well Well-versed in the Malaysian FRS and knowledge of the Malaysia Income Tax Act.
