The Costing Executive will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and cost analysis within the Accounting & Finance department. This position requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail to support decision-making processes in the manufacturing industry.
  • Collaborate with production and procurement teams to gather cost-related data.
  • Calculate Bill of Materials (BOM) costs and manage an organised product structure.
  • Estimate costs for customer quotations, ensuring pricing aligns with cost and profit goals.
  • Regularly update and manage product costs, including product codes, BOMs, pricing, and selling rates within the ERP system.
  • Generate comprehensive costing reports for both routine and special requests, including variance analysis for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Analyse differences between standard and actual costs, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts on an ad-hoc, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Analyse and resolve any discrepancies in inventory quantities or movement records.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets with a focus on cost-related elements.

  • A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in cost accounting within the manufacturing sector.
  • Skilled in using accounting software and ERP platforms.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, organisation, and resourcefulness; dependable and capable of solving problems effectively; consistently meets deadlines.
  • Able to work both independently with minimal oversight and collaboratively as part of a team, while efficiently handling multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (including formulas and pivot tables), as well as Word and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience with ERP system implementation is considered a plus.
