- Review business requirements and perform impact analysis.
- Work with IT and business units to propose IT solutions by refining specifications and requirements based on available technology. Liaise with business users and developers to refine user stories.
- Design and code using best software development practices.
- Create and maintain software documentation, including solution proposals, detailed technical design and test scripts
- Anticipate potential issues that may impact the implementation of initiatives.
- Support applications and track for prompt resolution of problems and issues.
- This is a sole contributor role.
- Possess a degree in Information Technology or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in application development.
- Strong analytical, communications and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Java application design, solutioning (including database design) and software development.
- Java (web) based software development experience, including object oriented design and system architecture for web applicationsStrong understanding of Web User Interface Design (UI), cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards.
- Experience with APIs, Java based Web Services (SOAP UI), Multimedia Content Development, session management
- Experience with programming languages such as XML, JSON, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Java, JavaScript.
- Experience with JavaScript technology such as Angular, JQuery Library and React framework will be an added advantage
- Familiarity with continuous integration & build tools such as Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.
- Knowledge in other IT technical areas (network, servers, information security, middleware and AWS) will be advantageous.
- Knowledge in Gen AI tools such as ChatGPT, Germini, Palo will be useful.
