About the Job The Junior Business Development Executive supports the company's growth initiatives by assisting in outreach, partner engagement, and project execution. Key responsibilities include prospecting new leads, conducting cold calls and emails, preparing proposals, and supporting marketing efforts. The role also provides exposure to research, data & analytics, and consulting activities, such as coordinating surveys, assisting with data collection, conducting basic data analysis and contributing to report preparation. This is an entry-level role designed for motivated individuals who want to build a career in business development while gaining exposure to research, data & analytics, and consulting projects. A successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Business Development Executive, and when required, to the Managing Director and will have a dynamic opportunity to learn and grow professionally within a structured company framework. Duties & Responsibilities: Business Development Support Research and identify potential clients, sponsors, and partners. Assist in preparing proposals, sponsorship decks, and client presentations. Conduct cold calls and send cold emails to initiate contact with potential leads. Support outreach efforts via calls, emails, and meetings. Track leads and maintain accurate outreach records using internal tools and tracking systems. Project & Documentation Assist in coordinating survey/research projects, ensuring accurate documentation. Support vendor and consultant management tasks. Maintain updated records of agreements, contracts, and sponsorship activities. Content & Information Management Compile market intelligence reports and competitor analyses. Maintain business development knowledge bases and information systems. Prepare summary briefs to support senior management and project teams. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with the Senior Business Development Executive to support stakeholder engagements (ministries, GLCs, universities, corporates). Participate in external events (forums, conferences) to build brand awareness and generate leads. Facilitate coordination between Business Development, Operations, and Research teams to ensure smooth project execution. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Political Science, Communications, Statistics or other related disciplines. Prior experience in a similar role or internship is preferred, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply! Skill Sets Bilingual proficiency in English and Malay, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Quick learner with the ability to absorb and apply information efficiently. A team player with excellent collaboration skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel skills are an advantage). Proficiency in AI LLMs (e.g. Chat GPT) Familiarity with project management tools and CRM software is a bonus. A strong understanding of Malaysian & global politics would be an advantage.
