Client is a leading Property Developer. Undertake the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions covering financial reporting, taxation, financial planning and management, corporate finance and treasury. Responsibilities: 1. The finance role covers all scopes of the finance functions including corporate finance, taxation as well as financial management and reporting. 2. Review feasibility study of business development/new land acquisition and liaise with bankers and advisors on the funding and execution of the acquisition proposal. 3. Review group financial statements, to ensure they are prepared accurately and in compliance with the law of Malaysia. 4. Duties on reporting of company financial and operational performance to the Board of Directors. 5. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls processes and procedures. (set up of Account & finance SOPs and reporting structure). 6. Develop and manage cash flow forecasting and planning process. 7. Overseeing company tax planning and overall finance function of the Group. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. 8. Working closely with external auditors, internal auditors, board of directors, tax agent, company secretary and tax authority. 9. Work with Heads of Departments on strategic business plans and the related affirmative action plans. 10. Perform independent assessment of the adequacy of the Group's internal control system and provide assurance on the effectiveness of the Risks, Control & Governance processes. 11. Undertake audit planning & fieldwork and ensure well documented work papers to support the audit conclusion & results. 12. Recommend appropriate controls or value-added measures to address the root cause of the control issues or to improve the operational efficiency. 13. Perform follow-up review to monitor the implementation of the control/ process improvement or corrective action plans. 14. Assist in the planning and performing of monthly audit activities including special investigation, due diligence and forensic audit at the request of the Board of Directors. 15. To take on ad-hoc task as and when required. Requirements: Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA) & MIA Minimum 15-20 years of working experience in listed entities, specialises in corporate planning, taxation, accounting and finance. Started in banking and auditing firms and thereafter served several property development and construction companies. Locals Only.
