The Opportunity The major objective of the person in this position is to manage matters related to the Chemical Engineering department teaching and research laboratories. The position will take responsibility for key roles within the purview of the Academic Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Manager including improvement plan for laboratory operation, OHSE, 5S, research and teaching. The Principal Technical Officer will be leading the Chemical Engineering department technical staff and will be reporting to the Academic Laboratory Manager in Chemical Engineering and School of Engineering Laboratory Manager. He or she will also play a role of providing direct support to laboratory colleagues, academic staff, and students, under the supervision and direction of the Academic Laboratory Manager. Reporting Line: The position reports to the Academic Laboratory Manager in Chemical Engineering and dotted to School of Engineering Laboratory Manager.
