Job Description We are looking for a competent event manager to organize and project manage in-house events that will deliver positive outcomes for clients and attendees. These include events such as recruitment days, roadshows, career fairs, awards events and seminars. You will ensure events run smoothly and cost-effectively, paying attention to budget and operational goals. You must also understand marketing and promotion techniques, and collaborate with our internal sales and marketing teams in driving attendance and registrations to our events. Responsibilities: Plan and project manage events from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives Prepare and track event budgets and ensure budget adherence Plan for and mitigate potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event Source and negotiate with event contractors, vendors, and venue providers Source and hire part-time staff for events as needed Work with internal client relations team to manage client deliverables at events Work with internal marketing team to promote events and drive attendance Coordinate all event operations on event days Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems that might occur Analyze the event's success and prepare post-event reports Requirements: Minimum 2-3 years' experience in marketing, event management, hospitality, or other related professions Excellent project management and budgeting skills Self-starter, creative and able to think outside the box Professional demeanour and good self-presentation are required Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management and organization skills Knowledge of HR, recruitment, advertising and branding practices is a plus Strong oral and written command of English and Bahasa Malaysia Proficient with Microsoft Office Willing to work late and on weekends when there are events Willing and able to travel around Malaysia
