UNFPA in Malaysia is seeking a Population & Development Consultant to support policy advocacy and programme implementation in the context of l ow fertility and population ageing . The consultant will coordinate projects, engage with government and ASEAN stakeholders, and provide technical input for evidence-based policy and programme work. Location: UNFPA Malaysia Country Office, Putrajaya Duration: Immediate start - 31 March 2026 Scope of Work Includes: Coordinating implementation of PD and ageing programmes with partners. Supporting the ASEAN Forum on Population Dynamics . Contributing to the 2026-2030 Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP). Advocating for demographic data integration into national systems. Required Qualifications: Advanced degree in Demography, Public Health, Sociology, Gender, International Development, Economics, Public Administration, or related field. At least 2 years of relevant experience in programme management, monitoring, and coordination. Strong knowledge of population and development trends, demographic analysis, and ageing issues. Experience working with government and multi-stakeholder partners. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
