Are you ready to lead the charge in delivering exceptional events for a global non-profit organisation in the dynamic Asia Pacific region We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Event Manager to spearhead the planning and execution of high-impact business events. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Project/Portfolio Management: Lead a dynamic team to deliver top-notch events of varying size, scale and complexity, ensuring timely delivery and meeting budget objectives. Stakeholder & Committee Management: Build lasting relationships with industry professionals, collaborating with committees to shape and deliver impactful events. Content & Programme: Unique to the organisation's events are its strong business and technical content - developed by the industry, for the industry. You will work closely with subject matter experts to create content-rich programmes that set our events apart. Logistics & Meeting Planning: Deliver high-quality event and attendee experience. Leading a multi-functional project event team, you will manage the delivery of conference and exhibition logistics deliverables, registration processes, manpower, on-site operations, and event health, safety and security requirements. Marketing & Sales: Working with cross-functional marketing and sales teams, you will guide and drive the execution, delivery and achievement of marketing plans and sales KPIs. Finance & Reporting: Deliver financially astute projects to meet budget and KPIs. As part of project management, you will plan and monitor budgets, financial performance and ensure compliance with financial processes. You will assess and provide sound business decisions to ensure financial prudence and expense control, and compile and present reports to internal and external stakeholders. Team & Business Management: Contributing as a senior member of the team, you will lead, manage, be responsible for the performance, and train a high-performing team to contribute to the Asia Pacific Events portfolio and its growth. WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE: Education & Experience: Degree holder with a minimum of 15 years of direct related working experience. B2B, Global & Large Scale: Expertise in managing large-scale business events for an international audience with 1,000+ participants and sponsorship/exhibition components. Experience in B2B a must with exposure to the energy industry a significant plus! Management Experience: Have led project or business teams with people and performance management experience of at least 5 years. Language & Communication Skills: Mastery of English and proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, with Mandarin as a bonus. Confidently communicate and present to executive audiences.
