The Financial Analysis Consultant will play a critical role in supporting consulting projects aimed at optimizing marketing costs for our clients. This position requires a deep understanding of financial analysis, cost optimization, and marketing expenditure, with a focus on identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements. The Financial Analysis Consultant will work closely with consulting teams to provide data-driven insights and recommendations, leveraging industry benchmarks and detailed financial analysis, and create financial models that will be used directly by client CFOs, CEOs, their boards, and Private Equity firms. Key Responsibilities: Marketing Budget Analysis: Analyze client marketing budgets, breaking down expenditures by category (e.g., digital marketing, events, content production). Benchmark client spending against industry standards to identify areas of over- or under-spending. Provide detailed reports and insights on potential cost-saving opportunities. Headcount Cost Analysis: Assess the fully burdened cost of marketing headcount, including salary, benefits, and overhead. Compare onshore versus offshore resource costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction through offshore staffing models. Develop financial models to project savings over time by transitioning roles to offshore locations. Resource Cost Optimization: Evaluate current and potential offshore resource models, quantifying cost savings and efficiency gains. Track and report on the financial impact of resource transitions, ensuring alignment with projected savings. Financial Benchmarking and Reporting: Develop and maintain financial benchmarks and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of cost-saving initiatives. Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for internal consulting teams and client stakeholders. Scenario Modeling and Forecasting: Build and maintain financial models that quantify current spend, forecast savings, and outline ROI scenarios for outsourcing, restructuring, or optimization initiatives. Conduct scenario modeling to assess the financial implications of different cost-saving strategies. Support scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate financial outcomes under different strategies. Support Consulting Projects: Work closely with consulting teams to support the financial aspects of marketing optimization projects. Participate in client meetings and presentations, providing financial insights and recommendations. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, benchmarks, and best practices related to marketing expenditure and cost management. Proactively suggest improvements to analytical processes and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a consulting or marketing environment. Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and scenario planning. Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial software and tools is a plus. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail. Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Experience working with offshore resource models and understanding of global labor cost structures is an advantage. Strong organizational and project management skills.
