In a rapidly evolving world, data you can trust is more critical than ever. That’s why DHL Express is seeking a seasoned technology leader to drive the design and delivery of innovative tools that improve data quality across our global business.As Global Business IT Domain Director, Data Quality and Governance – Data Tools, you will lead the development of scalable solutions that make data quality visible, manageable, and actionable. Sitting at the intersection of IT and business, you’ll guide cross-functional teams to build tools that surface issues early, improve data at the point of entry, and support thousands of users worldwide. The role location is either Malaysia or Singapore.How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

Develop and deliver the global data tooling strategy in line with DHL Express’s IT architecture and governance.
Build and lead cross-functional teams to create tools that validate, enrich, and steward data across business domains.
Ensure early detection of data issues through dashboards, scorecards, and actionable insights.
Align tool capabilities with real-world business needs through close collaboration with product managers, IT teams, and stakeholders.
Drive global harmonization and adoption of data quality tools while reducing duplication.
Oversee programs and projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery with measurable business impact.
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation in data tooling.

Leadership Responsibilities

Create a collaborative environment for teams to deliver user-centric, scalable solutions.
Bridge technical details with business impact for stakeholders at all levels — from regional users to executive leaders.
Navigate complexities in ownership, integration, and scope with clarity and empathy.
Grow and support a high-performing team with a strong sense of purpose, curiosity, and commitment to better data outcomes.

Do you have what it takes?

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
15+ years in technical roles, with proven leadership across teams, technologies, and geographies.
Deep understanding of cloud-based tools, data analytics, and data quality best practices.
Strong influencing skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, global matrix environment with a pragmatic, “get-it-done” mindset.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
