Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee system development, production releases, and support activities. The role ensures that projects are delivered on time, requirements are accurately captured, testing is completed thoroughly, and production environments remain stable. Key Responsibilities 1. On-Time Development & Product Release Ensure all development activities follow established timelines. Coordinate with project teams to achieve successful changes/releases within the monthly release window. 2. Business & Requirement Documentation Accuracy Review and validate business requirements for completeness and accuracy. Ensure URS (User Requirement Specification) is correctly documented, shared with QA, and aligned with testing objectives. Maintain a low rate of missing or inaccurate requirements. 3. Testing Oversight & Completion Ensure 100% completion of functional, integration, and system testing prior to production release. Collaborate with QA teams to ensure quality standards are met. 4. Post-Production Release Management Actively monitor the health of production environments after release. Track, investigate, and resolve post-release issues, providing guidance to L1/L2 support teams as needed. 5. SLA Compliance & Client Satisfaction Participate in SLA review meetings with clients alongside the L1 support team. Ensure all incidents and requests are resolved by L1/L2 teams within agreed SLAs. 6. Mentorship & Consultation Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical consultation to L1/L2 support teams and project teams. Support continuous improvement in issue resolution, testing quality, and project delivery. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in IT operations management, release management, or project management. Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), testing methodologies, and release processes. Experience working with support teams (L1/L2) and managing production incidents. Familiarity with ITIL processes, SLA management, and incident/problem management. Key Skills Project & Release Management: Ability to manage timelines, coordinate releases, and ensure successful deployments. Analytical & Documentation Skills: Strong ability to analyze business requirements and ensure accuracy in documentation. Testing & QA Oversight: Knowledge of test planning, execution, and defect tracking. Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills, especially in production environments. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills to engage with clients, project teams, and support teams. Leadership & Mentoring: Ability to guide and mentor junior staff, ensuring skill growth and effective issue resolution. Show more Show less
