Position: Cost Engineer Location: Kuala Lumpur Employment Type: Contract Key Responsibilities Preparing EPCI CAPEX cost estimates and related commercial deliverables during the proposal phase. Conducting cost data analysis and developing/updating benchmarking data to support future projects. Cost Engineering Expertise : Apply industry-standard cost engineering practices, including estimate classification, methodologies, and validation processes. Cross-Functional Coordination : Collaborate with technical and commercial teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely CAPEX costing. CAPEX Estimation : Develop comprehensive cost estimates with detailed backup data based on technical and execution inputs. Commercial Deliverables : Prepare required commercial documents, such as Compensation Forms, Estimate Assumptions, and Commercial Qualifications, as part of bid proposals. Cashflow Projection : Generate accurate cash-in/cash-out projections aligned with project schedules and payment terms. Cost Benchmarking : Collect and analyze cost and technical data to refine estimation methodologies and improve accuracy. Risk Management : Identify risks, evaluate opportunities and threats, and incorporate risk contingencies into estimates. What We're Looking For Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Construction Management (equivalent experience may be considered). Experience : 7-10 years in Offshore/Onshore Oil & Gas projects, particularly in the EPCI phase. Hands-on experience with cost estimation for Bid/FEED stages (FPSO project experience is highly preferred). Skills : Familiarity with FPSO projects and related technical knowledge.
