Business Development Manager (Selangor, Malaysia)Summary:Our client is a leading provider of integrated logistics solutions for the global chemical and petrochemical industries, strategically based in Port Klang. They specialize in the safe transport, packaging, storage, and handling of dangerous goods and polyolefins. Join them as they drive growth and solidify their position as a key regional logistics hub connecting Southeast Asia with global markets.Role and Responsibilities:· Generate revenue through new business development and business retention of the existing customer portfolio.· Demonstrate a history of success in growing the warehousing or contract logistics sector.· Establish a proven sales track record in warehousing by collaborating with clients to secure new business ventures or enhance current operations. Experience in handling dangerous goods (DG) and chemical-related products is a major plus point.· Drive and achieve the agreed Sales and Marketing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).· Research and develop marketing opportunities and plans, understand consumer requirements, identify market trends, and suggest system improvements to achieve the company's marketing goals.· Build and maintain customer relationships, including planning, preparation, execution, and follow-up of customer activities, as well as the supervision, coordination, and handling of inquiries and sales projects for all products in the portfolio.· Promote the company's existing brands and introduce new products to the market.· Collaborate with relevant internal teams for important marketing activities and various projects.· Gather, investigate, and summarize market research information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.· Maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.· Support marketing operations by compiling, formatting, and reporting materials.· Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of department activities, including presentations, reports, promotional materials, etc.· Perform all other duties as assigned or required.· Lead and coordinate the response to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ) from potential clients.· Prepare comprehensive and competitive proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements.· Update and manage contact leads and opportunities within CRM systems (Salesforce), ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness for informed decision-making.Requirements:· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.· Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing in the relevant field.· Excellent business acumen and a strong industrial network.· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.· Outstanding presentation skills.· Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases.· Strong customer-centrality and solution-oriented mindset.· Ability to think creatively and implement tasks innovatively.· Demonstrates responsibility not only to oneself but also to the team, the organization, and the community.· Contributes to creating a vibrant team, promotes the sharing of knowledge, and fosters positive collaboration across the organization.· Demonstrates mutual respect and trust.· Aspires for excellence in all endeavors.
