Key Responsibilities Market and Consumer Research: Ability to gather insights through data, research, interviews, and store visits. The candidate needs to understand market trends and consumer behavior deeply. Product Conceptualization : Skill in using frameworks like 3C , SWOT , and STP to create product hypotheses and concepts. This is central to shaping ideas into feasible products that address specific consumer needs. Research Leadership : Experience in managing both qualitative (e.g., FGD, CLT) and quantitative research (e.g., surveys), including collaborating with external agencies to validate hypotheses and concepts. Cross-functional Coordination: Ability to work with ODM partners, designers , and R&D to ensure that products are developed according to the original concept and specification while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Brand/Product Positioning & Guidelines: Creating clear product guidelines and positioning to ensure consistency across the entire product line, aligned with the brand's identity and market expectations. Post-Launch Evaluation & Trends Monitoring: Strong focus on post-launch performance reviews, understanding global trends, and collaborating with suppliers, ensuring the product remains relevant in the market. Key Requirements Any faculty can apply. Bachelor&aposs/Professional Degree in Business Management, Marketing, STEM faculty or a related field is advantageous in terms of job description. Minimum of four (4) years of product planning and product development experience within FMCG companies. Experience in beauty and cosmetics is a plus. Required languages: English & Bahasa Malaysia. Knowledge of other languages is advantageous. Proficiency in computer skills, MS Office and consumer survey. A team player with a pleasant personality and strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish good working relationships with internal and external parties. Ability to thrive in a team environment while also having the capability to work independently. Creativity and commercial awareness, especially in the beauty, cosmetics, and personal care industries, both online and offline. Highly motivated, organized, and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks in a challenging and fast-paced working environment. Overall, this job requires both of logical and lateral thinking.
