This is a well established and respected international freight forwarding and logistics services company with offices in major ports around the country. They offer shippers in the worldwide market a total logistics and complete inter-modal transportation system and warehousing facilities. Currently they are actively recruiting for an Accounting Officer for their business operations in Malaysia.
The position will be based at their main business operations office at Kelana Jaya in Petaling Jaya.
The opening is a full time permanent position with the objective to manage efficient accounting functions, ensuring that financial accounting information is accurately prepared within the logistics activities.
Salary for the successful candidate will be between RM 2800-3500.
Roles & Responsibilities
This is a permanent junior executive position where the incumbent will report to the Senior Accounts Executive of the group. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions independently. You will focus on managing month end accounting preparation of the foreign stations activities and inter-company invoicing and transactions. You will be involved in validating high volume of invoices and perform data entry and processing them using correct codes.
The candidate must have exposed to accounts payable and receivable activities. You will be involved in month end responsibilities including accruals, prepayments and reconciliation invoices, balance sheet reconciliation, statutory reporting.
Key duties involved will include the following processes:
Accounts Payable:
·Perform accurate invoice data input entry.
·Invoice receipts, coding, data entry and completing to pay process.
·Reconciliation of accounts both local and overseas agents.
·Overseas inter-company reconciliation.
Accounts Receivable:
·Processing receipts, issuing statements.
·Debt recovery
The candidate
The company is looking specifically for a female candidate to join their accounts & finance team with a like for like attitude and desire to work with them to develop a successful career within the organization long term. Specifically, they are looking for a mature work ethic individuals (female) with at least 2 years of relevant experience to undertake this role. Ideally candidates will have exposure to the transport or warehousing industry.
Candidate who will succeed to take up this role must possess minimum Diploma qualification in Accountancy and must have strong verbal and written in English plus conversant in BM and Chinese/Mandarin. In addition, candidates who wish to apply must ensure she will be able to be based at Kelana Jaya area.
