ROLE SUMMARY Support the Group/Division in developing, executing, and monitoring corporate strategy. Drive the annual planning cycle, portfolio reviews, bid/tender strategy support, KPI tracking, and market intelligence to improve profitability, win rates, and capital allocation across projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1) Strategic & Annual Planning Coordinate the annual corporate plan and 3-5 year strategic roadmap (markets, segments, capabilities, capex). Facilitate strategy workshops with Project, QS/Contracts, Tender, and Finance teams. Translate strategy into objectives, budgets, and measurable KPIs per business unit/project. 2) Market & Competitor Intelligence Build and maintain a pipeline view of public and private construction opportunities. Track competitor moves (pricing tendencies, JV partners, specialties) and regulatory changes (e.g., permitting, safety, sustainability, local construction boards). Prepare monthly insights packs for leadership. 3) Portfolio & Capital Allocation Consolidate project portfolio (live, tendering, prospects) and model scenarios (margin, cash flow, risk). Recommend priorities for bidding, JV/PPP participation, and resource allocation. Support make-or-buy and subcontracting strategies. 4) Business Performance & KPI Management Design and run the KPI dashboard: revenue, gross margin, WIP, cash conversion, variation orders, EOT claims, HSE stats, schedule adherence, and change order cycle time. Monitor performance vs. plan; flag variances and drive corrective actions with project managers. 5) Bid/Tender Strategy Support For strategic tenders, prepare win themes, price-to-win perspectives, and competitor maps. Coordinate inputs for risk registers, commercial assumptions, and management approvals (gate reviews). 6) Enterprise Risk & Governance Maintain strategic risk register (market, cost escalation, supply chain, regulatory). Track mitigation plans and prepare papers for management and the board. 7) Corporate Initiatives & PMO Run cross-functional initiatives (cost reduction, digital project controls, procurement savings, ESG roadmap). Track benefits realization and report progress. 8) ESG & Sustainability (as applicable) Support sustainability targets (carbon, waste, community engagement). Coordinate data collection and disclosures aligned to company policy/standards. 9) Data, Analytics & Tools Own datasets for pipeline, portfolio, and performance. Build automated reports (e.g., Power BI/Tableau) and maintain a single source of truth. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, Economics/Finance, or Business, OR any equivalent. 3-6 years in corporate planning/strategy, PMO, or commercial/estimating within construction, infrastructure, or EPC. Strong financial modeling and scenario analysis (Excel/Sheets); dashboarding (Power BI/Tableau).
