Job Responsibility Responsible to provide a supportive environment to student after school hours. Aid student to ensure completion of homework. Encourage development of necessary good social skills and increase independency. Provide and support during CCA activities. Create opportunities for skills learned to be build upon and used in different situations. Able to identify behavioural problem and determine the right course of action. Provide counselling and emotional support to student. Ensure student s safety and well-being are taken care at all times. Provide clear communications with parent, teacher, counsellor regarding student well being, behavior and learning progress. Develop and maintain good relationships and communication with parents in meeting student s needs. Help student develop basic life skills, live independently. Ensure accurate progress record and assessment report. Other duties assigned by Superintendent. Job Requirements Bachelor s Degree in Psychology. Passion to work with an autistic student and build a strong loving bond. Previous successful experience working with special need student is desirable. Must feel comfortable working with and around a student with special needs. Ability to relate well with special need student. High proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin & English language. Self-motivated with the high energy level Possess an interest in creating and helping interest areas. Ability to explain a different concept in terms that student with learning disabilities can understand. Embrace the value of professionalism and has a strong drive to work with a student with special needs and external stakeholders.
