OCBC is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing & Communications to spearhead initiatives targeting Chinese businesses and corporates entering and expanding in Malaysia. This role is pivotal in positioning OCBC as the preferred banking partner for this segment, driving market entry strategies, building long-term relationships, and executing impactful media and engagement campaigns. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Positioning Develop and refine OCBC's value proposition for Chinese businesses entering Malaysia. Develop strategic messaging frameworks that resonate with Chinese business audiences, aligning with OCBC's brand positioning and regional growth ambitions. 2. Go-to-Market Strategy Design and execute targeted market entry and growth strategies for Chinese corporates and SMEs, leveraging data-driven insights and market intelligence. Identify and activate key channels including digital, trade associations, chambers of commerce, and business networks. Forge strategic partnerships with ecosystem players such as media outlets, digital marketing agencies, content creators, and community platforms that engage Chinese-speaking audiences. This may include popular platforms such as China Press, Sin Chew Daily, Nanyang Siang Pau, Oriental Daily, and digital channels like RED (Xiaohongshu), WeChat, and Douyin, which are widely used among Chinese-speaking communities and businesses. 3. Relationship Building Lead initiatives to engage Chinese business owners through networking events, roundtables, and thought leadership platforms. Collaborate with Relationship Managers to develop tailored onboarding and engagement journeys. Implement feedback loops and continuous improvement mechanisms to enhance customer experience across all touchpoints. 4. Media & Engagement Campaigns Plan and execute integrated media campaigns (digital, print, PR) targeting Chinese SMEs and corporates. Develop content in Mandarin and English to ensure cultural and linguistic relevance. Track KPIs such as engagement rates, lead conversions, brand sentiment, and campaign ROI. Requirements A degree in Marketing or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant marketing experience. Strategic thinker with strong execution capabilities.
