The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for driving supplier quality assurance to ensure that manufacturing and business processes consistently deliver high-quality products on time within the industrial and manufacturing sector. This role requires deep expertise in quality management systems and strong leadership skills to effectively guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead and support supplier selection by assessing technical capabilities and production capacity through detailed technical evaluations.
  • Collaborate with commodity teams to support the development of commodity strategies.
  • Ensure approved suppliers meet all requirements outlined in the Supplier Quality System Manual and demonstrate continuous improvement in quality performance.
  • Review and respond promptly to SCB/PCN notifications.
  • Conduct regular audits of key suppliers and prepare comprehensive audit reports.
  • Participate as a member of the Material Review Board (MRB), reviewing Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) and driving corrective actions for defective materials from suppliers.
  • Deliver training and knowledge transfer sessions to new suppliers to ensure full understanding of the requirements and processes.
  • Prepare and present QBR/PBR reports for the Quality function.
  • Work with vendors to regularly review FMEA and Supplier Process Management Plans (SPM), ensuring process improvements and effective controls.
  • Monitor, analyse, and track annual quality data, and develop Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) accordingly.

  • Background in electronics manufacturing processes and quality control.
  • Hands-on experience with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, 8D, etc.; Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and RoHS compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in supplier auditing, qualification, and selection.
  • Understanding of IPC 620 standards and requirements; ability to interpret electronic schematic drawings is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
