Job Title : Manager of Operations (Middle Office) ???? Location : Kuala Lumpur (Hybrid) ???? Department : Operations & Transformation Job Summary Responsible for overseeing and optimising operational processes within the Treasury and Middle Office functions while managing business-as-usual (BAU) activities. This role requires a cross-departmental mindset, as Treasury Managers frequently collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and develop standardised operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance treasury efficiency. Job Duties and Responsibilities Operations Management: Oversee daily treasury operations, ensuring the seamless processing of payments and transactions. A deep understanding of our banking partners' risk appetite is essential to maintaining effective financial operations. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop, implement, and maintain treasury-related SOPs, ensuring proper documentation, monitoring, and version control. This includes thorough testing of new ERP functionalities in a controlled environment with a comprehensive audit trail before deployment, followed by training within the operations teams. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing Middle Office team, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous development. Provide mentorship, guidance, performance evaluations, and professional growth opportunities to elevate team capabilities. Payment Systems Management: Oversee payment and collection operations, including processing, settlement, and reconciliation, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks by implementing robust controls and procedures to safeguard treasury functions. Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely treasury reports to the Middle Office team, highlighting key trading indicators and financial insights. Training and Development: Deliver training and guidance to the treasury team to enhance their expertise in treasury operations, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices, extending beyond SOP training. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Risk Management, and Technology, to drive continuous improvement and innovation in treasury operations. Others: Perform any other related lawful duties that may be given by the Management from time to time. Job Requirements Bachelor&aposs degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, communications, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in payment industry operations, with a demonstrated progression in responsibilities. Proven experience in operations management with a focus on treasury functions in the payment industry. Strong organisational skills and able to manage tight deadlines. Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to help a team grow in their professional ambitions. Strong communication and presentation skills. Strong knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in treasury management systems and financial software. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices. Ability to promote and uphold company values and foster a positive culture. Ability to collaborate effectively across departments & influence stakeholders at all levels.
