Responsibilities: Provide legal advice on all business activities of our offices in the Asia-Pacific region, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts Draft and prepare legal documentation, internal reports and contract templates Advice and support on contentious matters in the region Ensure that compliance/data privacy issues/licensing issues are being appropriately handled and escalated when necessary Keeping updated of industry developments and legal trends Assist on ad-hoc special projects Supervise a small team Any other duties as may be assigned Requirements: Minimum 1 or 2 years of relevant legal experience in a regional law firm or in-house legal team. Past experience with legal and compliance work in telecommunications industry will be an advantage Experienced with master services agreements, procurement contracts, as well as other contracts frequently used in the info-communications and technology industry Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin essential to communicate with Mandarin-speaking associates and to draft and review Mandarin documentation and contracts.
