Partnering with Maybank Group's Risk to ensure successful execution of projects, creatively solving problems and addressing new challenges as they arise. Overseeing the technology operations and evaluating them according to established goals. Devising and establishing IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management. Analysing the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs. Engaging in solution identification and implementation to bring more value to the business. This requires strategic planning, market intelligence, best practices and structured approach, project management skills in the pursuance of initiatives implementation. Supporting and focused on any IT system related to provide the IT services - become the main single point of contact to front business. Inspiring and approachable leadership for overall stakeholder management; from the internal team up to senior management-level in managing the expectations of business within operations functions. Monitoring system performance and developing recommendation for improvement by evaluating and exploring system capabilities or new emerging technologies as to maintain expected SLA. Strategic and collaborative partnership with Group Risk in solution identification and implementation that brings value to the business and meet business objectives. Reviewing and assessing current applications and providing recommendations to optimize both processes and data for better IT budget utilization in view of shorter life cycles, reuses existing application processes and data, and allow new applications to be developed faster. Ensuring the right and capable infrastructure and closely monitoring on the system performance based on established SLA with stakeholders. Leading, managing and providing guidance to IT Risk team. Job requirements: Degree in a related field preferably (Banking, Business, Finance, Information Technology and related fields). Extensive experience in strategic planning, people/resource management and planning, technical project delivery and management, solution architecture and design. Experience managing Tier 1 systems such as IFRS9, EGL, etc. in Banking or Financial Institution . Preferably any certification relating to Program / Project Management, Agile or Scrum and/or ITIL. Any certification in Banking Risk is an added advantage. Strong analytical and implementation skills demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and drive change across a complex organization and multiple stakeholders. Good understanding of Banking Risk industry leading trends and issues. Sound knowledge in local laws and regulations pertaining to Banking Risk. A team player with a positive attitude, professionalism and a strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics. Ability to identify patterns or connections between situations that are not obviously related and to identify key or underlying issues in complex situations. Basic to intermediate knowledge of banking facilities and industry regulations. Strong communication skills both oral and written. The ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
