Job Purpose The Executive Director is accountable to lead through Meitech critical growth stages by setting the strategic direction, building governance through operational capacity, and ensuring financial sustainability. This role demands a visionary leader with a hands-on approach to scaling a company, achieving profitability, and creating long-term stakeholder value. The Executive Director will report to MDEC&aposs and Meitech Board of Directors for the efficient and effective management of the company. Duties And Responsibilities Drive, oversees and directs the strategic planning and execution of Meitech mission and strategies: Accountable for setting the strategic direction of the company, establishing a clear vision, and defining long-term goals. Define and execute long-term business strategies aligned with profitability and sustainability. Ensure development and implementation of strategic goals and plan. Provide direction and leadership toward the achievement of the company's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives. Responsible for the overall operational performance, ensuring that strategic plans are effectively executed across all functions of the company. Manager And Represents Meitech At The Stakeholder Levels Maintain strong, transparent relationships with key stakeholders, including the board of directors, shareholders, employees, customers, and partners. Communicate effectively, provide regular updates on company performance, and address stakeholder concerns with transparency and integrity. Represents officially the organization to external stakeholders. Acts as the principal representative of the Brand. Driving And Promote Innovation And Adaptation Promote a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the company adapts to changes in the technology, and industry trends. Drive Business Growth, Profitability And Financial Performance Leads the formulation of and validates budgetary requirements to achieve profitability for the company in the early years of activations/operations. Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and product innovations for new source of revenue generation. Accountable for the financial health of the company, including revenue growth, profitability, and maintaining a healthy balance sheet. Lead the Revenue Generation Team and Foster a High-Performance Culture: Responsible for building, developing, and managing the Revenue Generation team, ensuring they perform at a high level and churning the expected return for the parent company and long-term sustainability of the company. Manages daily business activities through working with Leaders of the team to ensure KPIs are met Responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive work environment, building a strong performing team, and ensuring employee engagement and morale. Lead with integrity, avoid conflicts of interest, and make decisions that reflect the company's ethical commitments. Lead team meetings and provide operational guidance. Represents Meitech at the BOD level. Provide the BODs with accurate, timely information on company performance and strategic direction. Responsive to the board's guidance, and accountable for implementing board-approved strategies, as well as enables the BOD to fulfil its governance function. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Leadership & Strategic Direction - development of short and long-term Business Plan, Clarity and Execution of Vision and Mission of the company. Financial and Operational Performance- Revenue target of RM20mil in 12 months period, with margin of 60%. Securing significant contracts. Governance - establishment of Limit of Authority, Policies & Procedures, Employee Handbook and other necessary framework. People development - building talent capacity, employee engagement and retention rate. Customers- Building up high net worth of customer's database. Qualifications & Experience Minimum a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Management, Business or Communications or related areas / field aligned with digital industry. Masters Degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Management, Communications or related areas is preferred. Possess 10-20+ years of experience, including substantial time in senior management or executive roles such as COO (Chief Operating Officer), CFO (Chief Financial Officer), or other C-suite positions. In-depth knowledge of the digital / technology industry and understand market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments of the industry. Experience in successfully managing large teams, driving business growth, and executing strategic initiatives. Preferably has served on corporate boards that provides experience with governance, strategy oversight, and accountability. Emotional Intelligence and Empathy: Ability to understand and manage one's own emotions and those of others, fostering strong interpersonal relationships.
