Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Group Senior Finance Manager to oversee the financial operations, accounting, tax and compliance of our organization. The Group Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, audit, compliance, managing financial controls, and driving finance reporting and compliance excellence across the Group . This role requires strong leadership and team management abilities, a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, expertise in internal controls, process improvement, tax management, and governance. The Group Senior Finance Manager will report directly to the Group CFO and will manage a team. The position will be in Kuala Lumpur. Responsibilities Supervise and oversee the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial and management reports, including schedules for VAT and tax reporting across the group, ensure quality and timely group related financial and management reporting, driving continuous improvement. Maintain and enforce proper financial controls across the group by guiding and collaborating with respective country Finance teams, including conducting reconciliations with a comprehensive audit trail and implementing standard operating procedures. Provide expert advice on the accounting treatment for new products or transactions and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations. Monitor and manage the monthly Group and country level cash flow forecasts, working capital health, ensuring optimal cash position and effective cash management strategies. Lead the ad-hoc tax, group internal audit, group external audit process by guiding, collaborating, and overseeing various country level and group Finance stakeholders to ensure optimal compliance and governance, meeting statutory requirements and achieve efficient tax structure. Ensure country level compliance with group finance policies and procedures, identifying and addressing any potential risks or areas of improvement. Manage and mentor a team of 7-9 countries' Finance Manager, ensuring they fulfil their role successfully and providing guidance and support for their professional development. Oversee group reporting activities, including consolidation, group submissions, routine investor related financial data submission, implementation of group accounting policies, intercompany transactions, and the development of group reporting packages, SOP, and the group accounting manual, driving financial reporting excellence. Support senior Finance Leaders on board related reporting duties and ad hoc Finance projects. Requirements Bachelor&aposs degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA or ACCA certification preferred. 4+ years of experience with a Big 4 accounting firm in audit or assurance roles, combining with minimally 5 years of commercial finance experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations. Experience with NetSuite system, including implementation and customization. Proficiency in management reporting and cash flow management across multiple jurisdictions. Familiarity with group consolidation and intercompany transactions. Skilled in financial software and ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong project management and collaboration skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Leadership experience and ability to mentor teams.
