Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Engineer or Field Engineer Manager to join our team. This role requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting, hardware installation, and network management, as well as the ability to manage and lead a technical team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in networking, hardware, Android/Windows applications, software configurations, and the ability to quickly identify whether an issue is hardware-related or software-related, combined with excellent communication skills and the capability to manage inventory and documentation. Key Responsibilities: Networking & Troubleshooting: Possess in-depth knowledge of networking principles and the ability to troubleshoot network-related issues efficiently. Hardware Installation: Lead the installation and setup of various hardware components, ensuring optimal performance. Hardware Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, providing solutions in a timely manner. Android/Windows Application Knowledge: Have a working understanding of how applications run on Android and Windows, and be able to support software troubleshooting. Software Installation & Configuration: Handle software installations, configurations and ensure the smooth integration of hardware and software systems. Issue Identification: Quickly determine whether issues are hardware-related or software-related and investigate accordingly to find the root cause. Documentation: Maintain thorough records of hardware installations, configurations, and troubleshooting steps, ensuring that documentation is up to date and accurate. Inventory Control: Responsible for tracking inventory, including performing regular stock checks, and ensuring the availability of required equipment. Team Management (For Manager Level): Supervise and manage a team of field engineers, providing guidance, training, and oversight to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required standard. Transport: Must possess a personal vehicle for transportation to client sites. Qualifications & Skills: Proven experience in a field engineer role, ideally in a senior or managerial capacity. Strong networking knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities. Experience with hardware installation and configuration. Understanding of Android and Windows application environments. Ability to manage software installation, configuration, and system integration. Ability to identify whether issues are hardware-related or software-related and address them accordingly. Strong documentation skills for technical systems and processes. Ability to manage inventory control and perform stock checks. Excellent communication skills, especially in English, with the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders. Must possess personal transport. Additional Requirements for Managerial Role: Experience in leading and managing a technical team. Hands-on experience in all areas mentioned above. Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage tasks within a team setting. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions independently. Preferred: Previous experience in a similar field engineering role, particularly in the [industry/field]. Certifications related to networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.
