Position Summary The Project Controller will play a pivotal role in supporting our global projects by ensuring financial discipline, timely execution, and strategic resource allocation. This position demands a blend of expertise in cost control, project scheduling, budget management, and proficiency in SAP. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the EPCM sector, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex project landscapes effectively. Core Responsibilities and Tasks Develop and implement project cost control strategies to ensure projects are completed within budget. Create and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for clear project tracking and management. Read and interpret project drawings and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates. Utilize ERP systems, preferably SAP, for creating projects, cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting. Prepare and update project dashboards for real-time monitoring of project financial performance. Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to gather project data and cost inputs. Monitor project expenditures against the budget, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and objectives. Work closely with finance and project management teams to ensure accuracy. Regularly update project plans and budgets as required. Develop and implement WBS structures within SAP for new and ongoing projects. Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly project reports. Ensure that all documents are current, accurately categorized, and easily accessible. Support the PMO in establishing best practices, tools, and methodologies for project planning, execution, and control. Work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders Position Requirements FORMAL EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Professional certifications in Project Management preferred KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years of experience in project control or project management within the EPCM industry. Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a PMO environment with SAP project systems or similar ERP software Proficient in project planning and WBS structuring Demonstrated expertise in cost control, budget management, and project scheduling. Proficient in SAP and familiar with other project management software. Strong understanding of project management principles and practices Familiarity with timesheet administration and resource management practices. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for a global, multicultural environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Fluent in English, both spoken and written. Additional language skills are a plus. TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge & experience in SAP Project Systems & FICO module or any ERP systems Data Management & Analysis in SAP Analytics Excellent MS Office skills (especially MS Excel) Knowledge of visualization software skills (PowerBi)
