As an Electrical & Automation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting engineering-related tasks within the FMCG manufacturing plant. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing the execution of electrical, instrumentation and automation related technical services, ensuring high levels of productivity, product quality and plant performance. You will also be tasked with leading minor electrical or automation CAPEX projects aimed at improving factory performance. Your expertise in this field will be crucial in executing market strategies focused on Electricity and Automation.
- Support and monitor capital investments from preparation to implementation ensuring alignment with standards and flawless commissioning
- Ensure process and equipment reliability and safety for people, products, and the environment
- Provide troubleshooting support for electrical and automation related breakdowns
- Lead minor electrical or automation CAPEX projects to improve factory performance
- Ensure that all Electrical an Automation engineers and technicians master the processes and products to fully support initiatives related to Innovation and Renovation and Continuous Improvement
- Support the appropriate adhesion to engineering tools at site level
- Monitor Electrical and Automation impact in line efficiency and performance at the factories
- Execute market strategy, focusing on Electricity and Automation in alignment with corporate standards best engineering practices
The ideal candidate for this Electrical & Automation Engineer position will bring a wealth of experience from a similar role within a manufacturing environment. You should have a tertiary education in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or a relevant discipline. A minimum of five years' experience in an electrical/automation/controls engineer role is essential. You should be well-versed with PLC, HMI programming, debugging and troubleshooting. The ability to work independently while demonstrating strong people management skills is also key to this role.
- Tertiary education in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or relevant discipline
- At least five years' experience in electrical / automation / controls engineer role within a manufacturing environment
- Well-versed in PLC, HMI programming, debugging and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and possess strong people management skills
