- Resolve day-to-day technical issues across the facility, including utility breakdowns and malfunctioning lines. Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and PLC systems, encompassing preventive maintenance, installation tasks, and testing activities.
- Provide operational support to plant activities, offering troubleshooting assistance to maintenance teams as needed.
- Execute changes and updates to PLC, software, and HMI programs, ensuring accurate documentation and program backups.
- Lead the department's calibration procedures, coordinating with external suppliers for critical and non-critical instrument schedules and certification requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical and PLC machinery servicing for easy reference and traceability.
- Support external and internal audits, contribute to procedure development, and assist in corrective and preventive actions to enhance company growth.
- Foster relationships with local and OEM suppliers to access technical insights and identify skill development opportunities.
- Assist in determining optimal stock levels for automation spare parts and electrical consumables.
- Provide insights on process-automation system development and standardization for long-term effectiveness.
- Conduct first-level fault finding and root cause analysis to address chronic failures effectively.
- Provide technical coaching to Maintenance Technicians and Electrical learners, focusing on skill development and adherence to best practices.
- Install, modify, service, and upgrade machinery in alignment with technical specifications.
- Ensure timely completion of daily production-related electrical work orders and maintain comprehensive records.
- Plan and execute corrective and preventive maintenance to uphold machinery reliability.
- Mentor and support team members to achieve and exceed performance targets and adapt to future challenges.
- Facilitate effective communication of operational information to ensure team members can perform tasks efficiently.
- Foster a collaborative team environment where individual contributions are valued and recognized.
- Report departmental issues to the Department Manager and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Manage and monitor repair electrical maintenance costs to stay within budgetary limits.
- Procure spare parts to support operations, emphasizing competitive pricing, quality, and timely delivery in line with company policies.
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Automation Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in FMCG industries, preferably food, in a similar role.
- Proficiency in process engineering, Process Automation, Variable Speed Drives, Servo Controllers, Process Field Instrumentation, Pressure/Temp/Flow, Sensor, Encoder selection, and troubleshooting maintenance.
- Expertise in PLC Programming - Allen-Bradley or Siemens
- Ability to work independently and provide RCA (5why and End State Analysis) for major problems.
- Adherence to scheduled preventive maintenance plans for the entire factory.
